Principal Research Scientist at MIT and Research Director at IIT-CNR, Pisa, Italy. Paolo has contributed more than 160 scientific papers, multiple patents, and single-authored two books. The Minimum Fleet technology he designed and developed, part of Data Drive now, has been acknowledged by Fast Company as one of the World Changing Ideas in 2019.
Entrepreneur and technology inventor, founder and CEO of Superpedestrian, a robotics company, and Associate Director of MIT SENSEable City Lab. Assaf holds over 150 patents and publications. His work has been honored with international awards including the Red Dot Luminary, Time Magazine, Thomas Edison, and James Dyson awards.
Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he directs the Senseable City Lab, and a founding partner of the international design and innovation office Carlo Ratti Associati. Carlo has coauthored over 500 publications and holds several technical patents.
